silent sundays: a deeper dive

Silent Sundays is a virtual therapy series created with care for Black women and queer & trans people of color who crave a space to exhale, feel seen, and heal in community.

These are free clinical group therapy sessions—open, but held with intention and structure by a licensed mental health therapist (that’s me!). It’s not just a social hangout or a space for casual chat. This is therapy—with room for rest, depth, softness, and growth.

What It Is

  • 🌀 Biweekly sessions held on Sundays at 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST

  • 💻 Virtual via Zoom (link provided after registration)

  • ⏳ Each group lasts about 85 minutes

  • ✍🏾 Bring a journal to capture reflections, feelings, or ideas

  • 🎨 Feel free to bring calming activities like crochet, drawing, or fidget tools—especially if you experience anxiety or process better with your hands

  • Sessions begin Sunday, July 6th

We begin with grounding, check in, hold space to speak and be heard, and offer affirmations and tools. Every week follows a similar rhythm, creating comfort in routine while staying open to your real-time needs.

Who It's For

Silent Sundays alternates weekly between two clinical support groups:

Sanité – Black Women’s Group

Inspired by Sanité Bélair, a Haitian freedom fighter, this space is for Black women (cis, trans, and femmes) to reclaim their time, voice, and softness.
🗓 Meets every other Sunday

The Marsha P. Circle – QTPOC Group

Honoring Marsha P. Johnson, this space is for queer and trans people of color to process, reflect, and reconnect without explaining themselves.
🗓 Alternates Sundays with Sanité

What Makes This Clinical

  • Led by a licensed therapist trained in group facilitation

  • Designed to support emotional healing, reflection, and connection—not casual conversation

  • No formal diagnosis or screening required, but therapeutic boundaries are honored

  • Group guidelines help keep the space safe, inclusive, and respectful

  • Consistency is encouraged—coming regularly helps deepen connection and support outcomes

  • Optional reflection/homework prompts are provided to strengthen healing between sessions
